Wondermeter

✳ Free little instruments, all about you

Ordinary you, measured wonderfully.

Your birthday, your name, your habits — read by playful instruments that count what no one else bothers to count: full moons lived under, kilometres travelled through space, weeks on your map, books still ahead. Computed in your browser, stored nowhere, shared everywhere.

What kind of museum is this?

Every instrument here measures something true about you that nobody ever bothers to measure — how many full moons have risen over your life, how far the planet has carried you through space, what your name weighs in Scrabble tiles. Real arithmetic, pointed at pure wonder.

The workshop rules are strict. Every calculation runs in your browser — this site has no servers doing math, no database, no accounts, and it never receives what you type. Every method is published in full on its instrument’s page, constants and all, so you can check the working. And every instrument must be a genuinely different idea; the wall grows slowly on purpose.

When you share a result, the link itself carries your reading and hands whoever opens it a blank form to make their own. That is the entire business model of wonder: it multiplies when passed along. More about the Bureau →
